Women?s car insurer makes strides in a man's world. Well, almost.

“If you’re happy and you know it clap your hands, if you’re happy and you know it clap your hands, if you’re happy and you know it, and you really want to show it, if you’re happy and you know it clap your hands!” – Chances are women car insurers, if you’re this ecstatic, you’re probably gay. Bear with me my women car insuring crew. Dale Winton. Always smiling; always gay. Graham Norton. Forever cheery; forever gay. Larry Grayson. Continually upbeat; continually gay. Past tense, sadly. Thing is, those of us at Girlmotor.com like to think that we’re a pretty broad church, here at the home of women’s car insurance; and as women (car insurers or not) we love our gay friends, as the majority of girls do. Especially so if they’re into their motoring. And it seems many of them are. And to recognise this the worlds first gay motor show is being organised for September this year. Giving the already chuffed something else to put a smile on their faces. It’s being planned to tie-in with the scheduled Cardiff Mardi Gras festivities, which will double the overall size of the current concept being planned, and which is repeated every year in the Welsh capital with much success.

Top Gayer is behind the inaugural event set to take place at Sophia Gardens on Saturday the 2 nd of September, and in case you were in any doubt, they are a unique online motoring magazine aimed at gay people with a passion for cars. You can see what they've done there can’t you women car insurers? Cleverly Lifting the Top Gear name and adopting it for their own means. Very good. Open to anyone from any walk of life, irrespective of age, gender, colour or sexuality, there will be a plethora of auto marques present on the day most of whom have been individually, and painstakingly selected on the basis of their gay-friendly credentials; including many local dealerships and an array of motor related firms, all jostling for your attention. Alongside a main stage of diverse acts, a cabaret marquee, a dance tent and a funfair. What more could you ask for?

Rich Tuckwell is the Editor of Top Gayer, and is therefore well-positioned to comment on such a stand-out event in both the motoring, and gay, calendar. These are his very own words; "Gay and lesbian consumer research shows that majority of us want to spend our money with companies that have progressive policies towards their gay employees. The only problem is that information isn't easy to find, until now. Since its launch in October 2005, Top Gayer has been featured in just about every national newspaper in the UK as well as many around the world." Successfully bringing their good name out into the open. Something Girlmotor.com have been guilty of doing for a while now, in respect of their women car insurance triumphs. Another sure-fire winner!
