Bad news girls, we might have ridden clean out of luck it seems when it comes to motor insurance. Yeah, yeah, I can hear all you boys saying you've had it too good for too long anyway - but that's was our right wasn't it girls. I mean, being better drivers and all that, we had earned our cheap motor insurance. And we girls have taken advantage more by finding out, and acting on the advice that cheap motor insurance doesn't come any cheaper than it does at Girlmotor.com and knowing that that's one fact that will never change!
Unlucky lads!
But who exactly are all the spoilsports, if Girlmotor.com isn't; and why are they picking on the fairer sex. And, as anyone with cheap motor insurance will tell you - the better drivers - all of a sudden?
Well, as with most interference in this country, Europe is the culprit once more. Apparently they're banging on about 'gender neutrality' when it comes to motor insurance. And giving men equal rights, blah, blah, blah.
As far as us girls knew, it has always been a woman's prerogative in this 'Man's World' to get something out of the deal. Us cheap motor insurers thinks that there must be a man behind this 'thought' process. And their head must still be throbbing.
I suppose on a plus point, we might have seen hundreds of upset men chaining themselves to railings, or jumping out under the favourite at tomorrow's Grand National, to show just how upset they might become. To make their point for men's equal rights. Pah!
But we're going to have that sight cruelly denied thanks to the European Parliament, who have put their authoritarian foot down once and for all, as it's them who are saying 'men should be treated more fairly' when it comes to cheaper motor insurance.
No they shouldn't. They should just learn to drive better - we girl motorists could teach them a trick or two if they ever bothered to listen to what we had to say in between watching football and guzzling cheap ale.
Anyway, the bottom line is women drivers might not, for much longer anyway, be able to benefit from low cost motor insurance, under new European guidelines that are being drawn up. By men. And we could, if we're not careful, find ourselves having to pay upto £500more each year on our motor insurance policies as a result of 'giving in to men' whinging about how unfair everything is.
Unless of course you get your cheap motor insurance from Girlmotor.com, who said they'd fight any decision all the way. Like the girls best friend that they are.
This 'big hole in our shopping budget' that they talk about, this possible £500 figure, has been arrived at by the Association of British Insurers, who have started bleating on about how 'This ruling could signal the end for specialist car insurance companies in Britain who only trade with women drivers', etc.
No such thing! - say our consumer champs Girlmotor.com, where it still is, as it always will be, one of the cheapest places you can arrange women's motor insurance. They're not falling for all this 'cheap motor insurance 'for one and all' gossip.
Go Girlmotor.com!
Aswell as Girlmotor.com shouting up for us, there's also some, believe it or not, bloke too. He's called Robert Goodwill. He's the Conservative Party's spokesman on Women's Rights in the European Parliament.
And he sounds ok to us.
He says; "Women will have to pay £500 more a year for car insurance as a result of these laws is unfair discrimination and should be banned".
Hurray!
He seems to know what he's talking about. We can't believe he's a man.
He also says; "It's completely over the top and unnecessary. Car insurance is offered on the basis of risk. It's for the business to decide on". All round top bloke we at Girlmotor.com reckon.
Mr. Goodwill has led the campaign against the proposals and is pretty cheesed off about the whole thing. He lets off some more steam by adding; "Now women will be forced to pay more for car insurance just because someone in Brussels has decided they should!"
Way to go Bob!! He's definitely got some girl power in him.
Then, of all people, a woman herself, goes and puts a dampener on things by saying; "Nobody needs to panic just yet, as the plan still has a long way to go before it becomes law". Labours Deputy Leader in the European Parliament, reckons the Conservatives, and our mate Bob, are just telling 'scare stories' about changes being imminent.
Hhmmm..
We guess time will tell eh?
Either way girls, I don't think we need to worry, as long as we have Girlmotor.com fighting for us, and continuing to offer us cheap motor insurance, whatever, then it won't be our problems. Don't let cheap women's motor insurance give you a headache girls - call Girlmotor.com today, and they'll put you bang to rights!
